Lisa Joy Tuttle, PhD

Dr. Lisa Joy Tuttle is an executive skills coach with an international private practice specializing in coaching academics, medical students and physicians, and other high-achieving ADHD adults.

 

Dr. Tuttle is adjunct faculty at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, where she directed coaching and group programs for the Penn Adult ADHD Treatment & Research Program and developed her popular Mindful Self-Management® executive skills coaching groups. Her training in cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based approaches inform her coaching and she frequently collaborates with psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and allied professionals as part of an interprofessional team to support their ADHD clients.

 

Dr. Tuttle has a PhD in transformative studies and an MA in applied psychology and holds credentials as a Board Certified Coach (BCC), a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), and a Career Services Specialist (CSS). Her 2026 doctoral dissertation examined ADHD adults’ lived experiences and perspectives transcending stigma and expressing potential in the pursuit of a doctoral degree. As a co-author of research on the effectiveness of ADHD coaching as an emerging field (e.g., Ahmann et al., 2017, 2018, 2026), she is enthusiastic about its growing evidence base and power to transform lives.
