Tanya Murphy is a seasoned federal healthcare policy and advocacy professional with more than 30 years of experience navigating complex systems on behalf of underserved communities. As Founder, President, and CEO of The Society for ADHD and Co-Occurring Conditions, an organization dedicated to providing education and awareness to faith-based and marginalized communities, she serves as a bridge between clinical knowledge and the communities practitioners most struggle to reach.

Tanya has served as a Christian minister for more than 16 years, bringing firsthand understanding of Black church culture and faith community life to her work. Her approach is grounded in a faith-informed, community-rooted framework that addresses the stigma, racial bias, and systemic barriers that prevent accurate diagnosis and care for Black, brown, and faith-community populations. As a Certified CBT Anxiety Coach and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Practitioner, she brings both clinical training and lived experience with ADHD to her advocacy work.

Her expertise has been featured in the New York Times, Meditation Magazine, and Thrive Global. She has served as faculty in the development of a continuing education course for physicians through the American Academy of Pediatrics, titled ADHD: Strategies for Effective Communication and Collaboration with Families and Schools, and formerly served as Co-Chair of the CHADD Public Policy Committee and on the CHADD Board of Directors. Tanya is a nationally recognized speaker whose voice centers the communities most often missing from conversations about ADHD care.
